Guidelines for Programs

1. Maximum program class size is 30 participants (students and chaperones.) Chaperone ratio is 1:8 with a maximum of 4 adults per class. Extra adults will be charged $2.00.
2. DO NOT BRING YOUNGER SIBLINGS TO PROGRAMS. 
3. Have students wear secure nametags for the duration of their visit.
4. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
5. You will receive a confirmation letter before you visit. DO NOT ASSUME THAT YOU HAVE A CONFIRMED VISIT UNTIL THE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION LETTER IS RECEIVED.
6. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the park staff may have to make program changes.
7. Old Santee Canal is a TRASH FREE PARK. If you bring in trash you must take it out with you.
8. Please mail your completed registration form within 1 week of speaking with Education Staff. Reservations will be cancelled if form is not received within 10 days.
9. If you are running late, please call the park. A late arrival will shorten the program.
10. Payment can be made in cash or check. With advanced notice, we can bill you.
